The System
The wet areas of swimming pools, sports facilities and saunas often lack shelves for towels, bathrobes, glasses, bags etc. Here the DOMO shelf system closes a gap in the range of wet resistant bathroom furniture.
The shelves are produced from proven HPL compact boards, in colour match with DOMO locker cabins, clothes cabinets, locker boxes and shower partitions.
The shelf system is constructed on the grid dimensions 150 mm, with compartments of 300 x 300 mm and 450 x 450 mm size, complemented by lockable doors, dressing tables, corner shelves, light panels, locker boxes and open clothes racks, if desired.
Frame, shelves and back panels are pre-assembled to a shelf unit in the factory. The single units can be added to shelf systems. The units are continuously screwed together.
Maximal weight per unit 65 kg.
Side frame, middle frame and shelves made of 13 mm waterproof HPL compact boards in accordance with DIN EN 438. Finish melamin resin coated. Colours according to DOMO colour range. Visible edges rounded off and accident-proof, radius R 10 mm.
Back panel made of 3 mm HPL compact sheets to stiffen the shelf. Finish melamin resin coated. Colours according to DOMO colour range.
Shelf supports made of plastic to fasten the shelves safely and to permanently stabilize the whole shelf, colour white, pinned and bonded if desired, no gap to back panel.
The shelves are mounted invisibly by means of a clasp system top and bottom. The clasps are fastened behind the back panels at the frame. The support profile is fastened to massive walls with dowels 8 mm and wood screws 6 mm. If necessary, the shelf unit is additionally supported by an angled rail.
Attention: For the proper mounting of shelves on plasterboard walls you need adequate inner reinforcing where the shelves are screwed on. We tell you the measurements. For the mounting on DOMO walls you need a compression fitting. For non-massive walls such as gas concrete, honeycomb bricks you need special fastenings.
